Controversial articles, and an inspirational video, found on the net over the past week...

Anais Gallagher, who turns the ripe ol' age of... twelve (!) in a couple of weeks, is the daughter of former Oasis member Noel Gallagher and his ex-wife Meg Matthews, has been dubbed the "new Kate Moss".

Sophia Bush has declared war on Urban Outfitters after they market-ted a t-shirt with the words 'Eat Less' on the front.

Dramatic photography project; smoking kids by Frieke Janssens

"A YouTube video of a chainsmoking Indonesian toddler inspired me to create this series, "Smoking Kids". The video highlighted the cultural differences between the east and west, and questioned notions of smoking being a mainly adult activity."

"To assure you of the safety of the children, there were no real cigarettes on set. Instead, chalk and sticks of cheese were the prop stand ins, while candles and incense provided the wisps of smoke"

And lastly, for some lighthearted fun, and if the Burning Man Festival floats your boat, you'll enjoy "Oh, The Places You'll Go At Burning Man," a piece from Los Angeles-based photographer Tedshots, brings the late Dr. Seuss' classic to life as Burning Man Festival goers recite his story..

I think they are all channelling Mad Max at the Burning Man Festival.

Arrghhh! The Urban Outfitters tee has done it for me. I can't send them another penny. Thanks for posting this, I had not heard of it.

Anais is a pretty girl, but as her parents KNOW Kate Moss, I can't believe they'd be keen for her to follow in her footsteps quite as young as she is. I wouldn't anyway.

I can't even begin to mention how many levels of wrong the urban outfitters shirt is. We live in a world where words are more powerful than ever before. Whatever their explanation will be or is for it, it's not how the every day person will see.

I would love to go to Burning Man ... my son is in the draw for tickets and I really hope he gets to go. I'm not offended by Jansenns' smoking project, the pics made me think of all the habits we as adults inflict upon children. Adults smoke, use drugs and drink alcohol in front of children ... time for people to wake up to themselves. Thanks for showing us this Erica.

Hmmm. If I was a bit younger and childless I would have probably reacted differently to a 12 year old fashion model but now I would just say: No, thanks. The ripe age of 12 is about everything opposite than modelling! Come on, there's a whole life ahead of girls to play "barbie dolls", why start at 12??

Eat less... I gues they wanted to start a controversy and gain even more publicity? They cannot be that plain, can they?

In other words - thank you for the controversial links!
