Last Saturday, I was invited to attend Salvos Stores sustainable fashion event organised by
DGM Advertising. In association with Melbourne Spring Fashion Week,
Salvos Stores hosted a parade showcasing a variety of vintage-inspired looks for every Spring event at
North Melbourne Salvos Store, 19 Errol St, North Melbourne.

With high tea (
yummy cupcakes), a parade hosted by comedian
Jo Gill, and supported by the tunes of DJ Andrew Northover, with every second hand item chosen for the runway up for sale to the public after the show.

Any global city's fashion week can be an elaborate, over-the-top affair, with
Melbourne Spring Fashion Week being no exception. Salvos recycled runway showcased some of the finest donated pieces, proving there can be an entire fashion show based solely on second hand attire, bringing forth its own sustainable, wearable glamour to the runway.
Hats off to the Claire, Salvos Stylist, who I believe had lots of fun driving around Salvos stores collecting clothes for the event (
eight stores in one day!)

Click on image below, who do you see in the audience!?
