Hunter Gatherer FASHION FRIDAY

Thursday, September 22, 2011

Next Friday, kicks off Buy Nothing New Month's campaign starting with Fashion Friday.

What is Fashion Friday?

A concept of Brotherhood of St Laurence's hip Hunter Gatherer stores (Melbourne, Australia), where free styling services will be offered in their City, Fitzroy, Moonee Ponds and Brunswick stores, which will provide assistance to help shoppers look sassy - sustainably.

I will be partaking in Fashion Friday, as one of Melbourne's Stylists (along with Leeyong Soo), situated in Hunter Gatherer's Royal Arcade city store, from 11am until 2pm, Friday 30 September.

What is Buy Nothing New Month?

Buy Nothing New Month (October) is the national campaign for conscientious consumption. Throughout October, people are encouraged to beg, borrow, barter, swap, rent or buy secondhand whatever they need, but they cant buy anything new.

The biggest task of the day? Trying to leave Hunter Gatherer without having purchased a wonderfully stylish vintage garment for myself!!

Love the two concepts. What a great service on the first one!

Sounds like so much fun. I live near Melbourne too, but it's Melbourne FLORIDA -- and we have very limited retail fun here! : > Enjoy!

this is great! I like the idea. It's not difficult to thrift for the whole month, it's more difficult not to thrift
