Eleanor's clothing line, represented by its registered name; Re-fashioned recycles pre-loved garments, and re works them into funky new pieces.
Eleanor makes custom stylish garments that have an eye on current trends but that are also created in a sustainable way.
Eleanor works as a bespoke designer/maker, creating most designs as custom orders. A few of her recent projects include a custom dress make for an eco project in Switzerland (information can be found at http://www.24capricci-
The tie dress shown here for the Swiss eco project was made from 14 ties, and was created for one of 24 videos about eco living which Irene Abrigo is creating in order to raise money for charity:
Another recent Re-fashioned project, a sci-fi shoot, resulted in a jacket made using old bike leathers. Here is a before and after photo:
This beige coloured top below, has been made using 3 ties, and the bottom half of a shirt:
And finally, Eleanor is starting to work on a new range of eco wedding dresses and evening wear.
To celebrate Eleanor's venture, she is generously giving away a special custom order of a Re-fashioned designed denim dress for one lucky Recycled Fashion reader. This is a dress design made using a pair of reconstructed jeans, here is an example:
The dress will be custom made in the winner's size (although restricted to size 8-14 UK due to the size of the mannequin used). The winner will be able to pick from various pairs of jeans that Eleanor has in her studio.
To enter, we would ask you to answer the following question in the way of a blog post comment:
If you were to win a custom made Re-fashioned denim dress, how would you accessorise it?
We would also love it if you could 'like' Re-fashioned facebook page to follow Eleanor's refashioning journey.
