Nick and Charlie's YouTube Channel - Op Shopping Sydney

Sunday, May 27, 2012

Readers, two young men from Western Sydney, Australia, have started broadcasting their "op shop cops" (new phrase for op shop finds?) to the virtual public.

Quote from 'ItsNickandCharlie' YouTube Channel "Hey guys :) this channel is all about style focusing more on how to still look fresh without a lot of money!"

In addition to broadcasting their "op shop cops", Nick and Charlie share their op shopping tips and advice, plus they refashion their second-hand finds, yes they can SEW too! All of the above, with a background music choice of their favourite hip-hop tunes.

Nick and Charlie's take on the difference between Thrift Stores vs Australian Op Shops

hard to understand at times, unique, interesting, funny. But I think a person could glean some ideas from these guys.

Just thought I'd stop by and let everyone know about a clever little app for smart phones called Rummage Hunter, since I've found this little app I have found so many more Op Shops that we never knew were in our local area. We even were able to use it when we went to New Zealand.
The beauty of this little app is that it uses the GPS in your smart phone and the list of Op Shops that the crew at Rummage Hunter have diligently verified so you know that the Op Shops (Thrift Shop ...Sorry for those that get offended at the term Op Shop) are still there and confirmed opening hours (or in rare cases if you call the store they will let you know the opening hours).
This is a great little app for those looking to go further afield looking for those hidden gems or for the backpacker travelling around Australia or New Zealand and I have noticed from the Rummage Hunter Facebook page that they are going to introduce more countries (USA, Canada, UK).
For the small cost of 0.99 cents this is by far the best ever app I have on my phone that goes everywhere I go ….even when travelling here and overseas. Do yourself a favour and the charities that run these Op/Thrift Shops download Rummage Hunter.
