Have you seen Advanced Style 's trailer, for an upcoming documentary following stylish New York older ladies? If you haven't, here it is.

Ari Seth Cohen's blog of the same name, Advanced Style, has been described by NYTimes as "a Sartorialist for the superannuated set"

"I roam the streets of New York looking for the most stylish and creative older folks. Respect your elders and let these ladies and gents teach you a thing or two about living life to the fullest. Advanced Style offers proof from the wise and silver-haired set that personal style advances with age.
" *Ari Seth Cohen

Some of my personal favourite quotes from this trailer:

"I think its fun to dress up, its an exercise in creativity, and it makes you feel better"

"I am dressed up for the theatre of my life every day"

"This is what I am, this is what you get"

"Style is inborn, like an artist is inborn"

"You don't want to look crazy, the object is to look as chic as you can. but your average person in the street would never wear this"

"Before 80 you always lie, after 80 you usually brag"

"As we get older, we get better"

"There is no substitute for life experience"

Advanced Style's documentary, is due for release in the summer of 2012 (northern hemisphere). In the meantime, you can follow Ari's inspiring work via his blog

This is so inspiring, especially the 90 year old woman!
All women should be this free, young or old.
