I cut two rectangular pieces slightly longer than my body shape, cut two corners for arm holes, and serged raw seams closed. I used one of my existing pillowcase tops as a rough guide.

:: I sew casings for elastic (bottom) and ribbon (top).::
Feeling a little under the weather today, and generally unenthusiastic for photographs, but I think you get the idea. I hope you like the top as much as I.
Hat and canvas-hemp bag are both by extremely talented Urbandon. Urbandon is just one of the many ethical designers who's clothing range will grace the catwalk at tomorrow's Fair@Square fashion event at BMW Edge Federation Square. I'll be volunteering on the night, so if anyone plans to be there, come and say hi if you see me!

Erica you'll need to pop to my blog. I've got a pretty cool post which I think you will enjoy.
This is so cute! My *girls* have a hard time fitting into tops like this, it looks so easy to make it custom.
Love it, the colour looks great on you and the simple summery shape suits the fabric, great job!
