80's rag top

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

I call this morning's refashion the 80's rag top, because it was really close to being cut into pieces, to use as cleaning rags.

I was given the top from an op shop, they were going to chuck it in the bin because no one would want to buy it. The sleeves had been cut off, in a bad way. Bit of a disaster really wasn't it...

I couldn't do it, I couldn't cut it into pieces. I made it fit by turning inside out and used one of my existing t-shirts as a guide to cut to size. I fixed up both frayed open hemmed arm holes, and made a ruffle flower out of the cut off remnants.

Turned out alright didn't it?

you turned a piece of almost going-to-be-trash into something cute. So resourceful. Well done! I like the adorable floral on the top.

You always seem to make an outfit rad - even one that looks atrocious at the beginning!

And in answer to your question about the clocks - hover over the 'handmade clocks' in the post and it will take you to where they are sold! xx
