Frock Up for Variety’s Annual ‘Op Shop Ball’
Over two-hundred celebrities, drag queens and socialites converge on Sky Venue (top of Sydney Tower) for the hottest fundraiser of the year - Variety’s ninth annual ‘Op Shop Ball’.Far from your average charity benefit, revellers donned their most fashionable charity shop finds, striking a pose on the red carpet to raise funds for sick, disadvantaged and special needs children.
Hosted by TV and radio presenter, Lizzy Lovette, and other well-known faces donning their pre-loved, over 250 party-goers joined in the celebrations, raising over $20,000 for a worthwhile cause.
The best part of the night, apart from complimentary cocktails, canapes DJ's and musicians to entertain? The evening was all about having fun and getting dressed up in your most glamorous op shop outfit, with the crown of Mr & Miss Op Shop awarded on the night.
What a fun night, and a great cause! Here are some photographs of the night that have been sent my way:
Did any Recycled Fashion readers attend the Variety Op Shop Ball? I'd love to hear from you. (and see your outfit!)

WOW!! Your op shops must be a cut above the ones we have here... where 4yr old Target or KMart polyester business shirts and skirts are just about all that is on offer...
What a fantastic idea, though! I would love to go to something like this!
Look like alot of fun!
What fun. I'm sure it was a night filled with lots of laughs. Would love to attend an event like that.
