Recycled Fashion Finds #5

Friday, July 8, 2011

Thank you to all new and regular contributors to Recycled Fashion Finds link up, which enters its second month today.

I am enjoying your refashion creations, and sharing your special thrift fashion finds too. As a round up of last months RFF's I am featuring a selection of your finds and creations below.

Susan created a dress from two thrifted men's shirts

A Matter of Style created a DIY armor cardigan, by cutting another cardigan into strips, mirroring a designer piece she had seen a few years prior

Alison made a dress from an Ikea duvet cover

Mongs of My Thrifty Closet found a vintage skirt for just 50c,
which she shortened to a flattering length

Nichelle transformed a big red dress into an adorable little dress
with ruffle shoulder inspired by Zoe Saldana

Lakota (Faith Hope and Charity Shopping) created jewellery for next to nothing,
including this vintage anchor button ring

And The Posh Op Shopper, found these brilliantly quirky 80's vintage trousers
a few weeks ago

Forgive me for missing any contributors out on this blog feature, I will be posting another round up in 4 weeks from now, so please do continue to link up your finds and creations below.

So readers, what did you find or create this week? Would you like to share:Link
  • A second-hand fashion garment you found at a market, thrift store, op shop, charity shop, car boot sale, fete, or garage sale.
  • A fabulous recycled fashion find you scored online.
  • A refashion project
  • A hand-me-down
  • A garment you've made yourself
  • It could be a link to a clothing item you are selling on your online store
  • A sewing pattern, or fabric you've found which you intend to make into a fashion garment
  • Your clothing item need not be vintage, although we do love a good vintage find of course.
*You can share your finds and creations on the link up below.*

If you are participating in Recycled Fashion's link up, and have a blog, be sure to grab a badge and pop it either on your blog post or on your side bar. Thank you!

Oh those yellow trousers are quite beyond fabulous! So good, they would be great hanging up as a wall decoration in between being worn.

I so reckon those trousers would fit you perfectly! If not you can alter them anyway right? Send your address to my e-mail again and they are yours. Thanks for the plug for my little blog! I am doing a very unfashion pick but just because am so proud of them, but thrifty as made them myself!

I love the red dress. I'm not too handy with a sewing machine, but this is really inspiring. I want to learn how to refashion my thrifted stuff.
Loving seeing everyone's creativity. Thanks for sharing with us. :)
