Big Elephant Pockets Pants and Tigers

Saturday, July 9, 2011

Big elephant pocket pants, trousers that is, for Junior RF.

Made from ..

.. second hand fabric obtained from a freecycler, a cushion cover (op shop 50c), elastic and thread (previously op shopped).

Using a free downloadable pattern...

Total cost to make. Approximately 60c. Junior RF likes them, 'cause he can carry his matchbox cars in each pocket. They fit perfectly.

On the topic of Recycled Fashion outfits for Junior RF, remember the fancy dress tiger outfit I put together from thrifted clothing and fabric? His outfit was a roaring success, ha!

It appears tigers are hot topic right now, as Leeyong of Style Wilderness is organising a Trivia for Tigers fundraiser at the Honey Bar next Tuesday night. Here she is featured in the Melbourne MX newspaper sporting some mighty fine tiger ears!

Don't forget to share your thrift finds and creations on Recycled Fashion Finds #5 link up which is now live.
