Yellow can be a difficult colour to match. I had an idea of a grey outfit, to match my yellow shoes. In my head, this colour combination works. I have been researching grey + yellow, and found a few examples where the two colours compliment each other well:

I LOVE yellow! Santa brought me two pairs of yellow shoes for Christmas.... not very eco, but..DAMN - they are beautiful.

Yellow shoes go with everything!
I've worn them with an earthy green, of course fabulous with grey and white. Can be adorable with the right shade of pink too.
Given the tone of the shoes you picked up, I think you'd be hard pressed to find something that didn't work out (except maybe black..)
How sweet are those shoes!! They remind me of a pair my grandmother had... That's a compliment btw. I don't have anything yellow but i have been embracing orange!! Hehe...

Yellow is one of my favorite but you are right, difficult when it is the bottom color, as in shoes. You have done a wonderful job of making it all come together.
Oh my...I am in love with both your new t-straps and the biscuit tin. So adorable. I can't wait yellow. But, I think yellow and grey look so pretty together on others. My sister just did re-did her room in yellow and grey and it is fabulous.
