Refashioned ruffles

Friday, September 10, 2010

There appears to be a ruffles trend going on with refashioning lately, mostly in the way of refashioned t-shirts made into pretty tops:

This ruffle top tutorial is available on brassyapple.blogspot.com

One of my favourite ruffle refashions has to be by Ali Foster. She has reconstructed a red thrifted dress by removing the sleeves then adding ruffles to the arm holes and collar, isn't it great?

Ali Foster runs a website selling digital PDF sewing tutorials to make handbags and wallets. She writes a blog within her tutorial website, in which she documents her personal clothing refashion projects, as well as her fashion inspiration.
