I follow a blog called I Op Therefore I Am. Yesterday, a post reviews a purchase from an Op Shop called All Souls in Sandringham, Melbourne Bayside. This is not the first time I have heard rave reviews of All Souls, but I had not checked it out for myself ... until this morning.
All Souls is quite possibly the cheapest charitable shop I've ever stepped foot in. Pants for $2, tops for $1, vintage cardi for $3, scarves for 50c.. you get the idea.
All Souls is a church Op Shop, connected with the All Souls Anglican Church, Sandringham. It has been operating since 1957, but is still ahead of the times with its own webpage: All Souls
What did I buy? Slotting in with Sophie's Flea Market Finds.I purchased this beautiful bright coloured scarf by de Marco Fabrics, Inc, which originates from the USA, New York I believe. Paid for by a 50c silver coin.
Scarves are a great way to spice up an old outfit without spending too much. Brighten up a dark outfit with a colourful scarf worn around the neck, across the shoulders, the waist, or tied to a bag:
Bag: TX Maxx, London (bought 5 years ago)
Scarf: 50c All Souls Op Shop
Not only does it jazz up an otherwise plain outfit, but also has the added bonus of keeping one warm in the chilly winter.
A second hand scarf for 50c to recreate an entire outfit, lovely.
